Modeling the spatial evolution wildfires using random spread process

چکیده

The study of wildfire spread and the growth area burned is an important task in ecological studies other contexts. In this work we present a model for fire show results obtained from simulations areas. based on probabilities at different locations. Such are intensity function spatial point process fitted to observed pattern fires Valencian Community years 1993–2015. models, applied wildfires Spain, including temporal states, combines features network with those quasi-physical interaction between burning nonburning cells, which strongly depends covariates. simulated areas resemble real cases, suggesting that proposed, Markov called Random Spread Process, works adequately. can be extended simulate random processes such as epidemics.

Spatial controls of occurrence and spread of wildfires in the Missouri Ozark Highlands.

Understanding spatial controls on wildfires is important when designing adaptive fire management plans and optimizing fuel treatment locations on a forest landscape. Previous research about this topic focused primarily on spatial controls for fire origin locations alone. Fire spread and behavior were largely overlooked. This paper contrasts the relative importance of biotic, abiotic, and anthro...

Modeling classical swine fever spread using a spatial hybrid model

Classical swine fever (CSF) is a highly contagious viral disease of pigs and wild boars that causes severe commercial restrictions to the affected countries. The knowledge of spread patterns and risk factors that are involved in the transmission of CSF would help to implement specific measures and to reduce the disease spread in future outbreaks. In this article, we introduce a new spatial hybr...

Modeling and analysis of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic using the classical SIR model

In this paper modeling, analysis and prediction of novel epidemic of COVID-19 are concerned to identify effective spread parameters of it in Iran. For this purpose, the basic susceptible-infected-removed (SIR) model is used which has two parameters: the infection rate and remove rate. The occurrence of several maximum points in the Iranian data and the single peak of the SIR model makes it impo...

The potential and realized spread of wildfires across Canada.

Given that they can burn for weeks or months, wildfires in temperate and boreal forests may become immense (eg., 10(0) - 10(4) km(2) ). However, during the period within which a large fire is 'active', not all days experience weather that is conducive to fire spread; indeed most of the spread occurs on a small proportion (e.g., 1 - 15 days) of not necessarily consecutive days during the active ...
